FAQs
Testing your water with Kleer Blue Water follows four simple steps: choose the kit that fits your water source and testing goals, collect your samples using the included step-by-step instructions, use the prepaid return shipping to send your samples to the laboratory, and view your results in your Personalized Dashboard.
Everything you need to collect your samples is included in your kit, making the process simple to complete at home.
City Water kits are designed for homes connected to a municipal water supply, while Well Water kits are designed for homes that use a private well.
Each is built around the testing considerations of that water source. City Water kits focus on substances relevant to municipally treated water, while Well Water kits include testing appropriate for private wells, including bacteria testing and specific sample-handling requirements.
Not sure which kit is right for you? Start with your water source, then choose the testing level that best fits what you want to understand.
Both our City Water and Well Water kits are available in three testing levels: Core, Complete, and Comprehensive.
Core provides a strong foundation for understanding your water. Complete expands the range of substances tested for a broader look at your water. Comprehensive offers our most extensive testing for those who want the fullest picture available.
Not sure where to start? Take our quick quiz to find the kit that best matches your water source and what you want to understand.
Every Kleer Blue Water kit includes clear, step-by-step instructions and the supplies you need to collect your samples at home.
Once your samples are collected and securely packed, use the prepaid return shipping provided with your kit and take your package to a staffed FedEx location. From there, your samples are sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Most results are available within 5–7 business days after your samples arrive at the laboratory. Some specialized testing may require additional time.
When your results are ready, you’ll be able to view them online in your personalized Kleer Blue Water dashboard.
Your Personalized Dashboard organizes your laboratory results into clear, easy-to-understand information. You’ll see your individual results, how they compare with applicable reference values, and additional context to help you better understand what was found in your water.
You can also explore more information about individual substances and use the Water Quality Assistant to ask questions about your results and dashboard content.
Whether city water or well water, Kleer Blue Water has a kit for you.
